Your new company
Our client has a history of more than 20 years. Their business covers the entire business value chain, from regulatory approval and product release to life cycle management. They have a variety of proprietary and cooperative brands in key treatment areas. As business expands, they are now looking for Senior Manager, Business Development.

Your new role
As the Senior Manager, Business Development, you will support the Business Development Director, China. Your detail responsibility will include:
一、Together with the Regional BD team, work on the implementation of the short/medium term BD blueprint for business in China, in line with company’s aspirations, product portfolio and development pipeline, via the following activities:
1.Active scouting and championing company’s partnering proposition to identify the opportunities including local and imported in-licensing assets (both commercialized and development-stage), acquisitions (portfolio or product)
2.Closely work with New Product Planning Team to develop detailed business cases in coordination with Marketing, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Finance and other relevant functions to identify key business risks and upsides
3.Lead due diligence work streams through cross-functional communication with internal stakeholders and partners
4.Support negotiations of key terms and conditions in close coordination with Regional and Corporate BD
5.Develop, nurture and maintain strong relationships with related partners which enhance company’s ability to secure attractive opportunities
6.Attend and represent the company in related industry conferences
7.Support Alliance team in various activities emerging from recent deals

What you’ll need to succeed
To excel this role, you should have
1.Minimum 8 years of Business Development in pharmaceutical or biotech industry
2.Experience in working with long-term partnerships and MNCs
3.Experience in managing Business Development projects with a fair knowledge in dealing with in-licensing, out-licensing and Mergers and Acquisitions projects
4.Masters preferred (including MBA), from a reputed university in China or globally
5.15-20%, mostly within China and with business trips for internal meetings at Regional HQ (Singapore) and Corporate HQ (Florence, Italy) as well as external meetings on need basis
6.In-depth understanding of China pharmaceutical industry and government policy
7.Results oriented with attention to detail, creative problem solver
8.Demonstrable analytical and negotiation skills
9.Strong teamwork capabilities
10.High degree of presentation skills
11.Strongly proficient in verbal and written communication in English and Chinese
