Job Description

  • Responsible for ensuring that all regional demand is clearly articulated within global portfolios and for ensuring that relevant information is captured to enable regional demand to be prioritised
  • Responsible for developing Regional Technology roadmap
  • Partner with the regional COO in the effective delivery of key business objectives
  • Responsible for direct cost, headcount management, and annual planning for regional Technology teams
  • Responsible for managing Technology Engineering Teams for application development, remediation, and service management for all non-Global Service line owned services in country/region.
  • Responsible for providing entity management
  • Improve technology delivery i.e. leading adoption and new capabilities whilst managing the risk of failure
  • Manage an effective relationship with partners and third party vendor to ensure successful delivery and efficient cost management
  • Active member on both WPB Technology and WPB Regional COO management teams.
  • Creates and manages strong and trusted working relationship outside of the team through strong relationships within the broader group
  • Balancing the Technology Strategy with the needs of Technology locally and enabling change through Global Businesses and Functions.
  • Ensuring the expected High Levels of Service Availability are maintained, in the Immediate term by managing safe change and in the longer term by ensuring hardware and software is kept up to date and our cyber protection is carefully managed.
  • Driving an innovative and market leading technology function, whilst maintaining awareness of operational risk and minimize the risk of it occurring, and ensuring that company's relationships with material risk vendors are well managed.
  • Key to this operating model is Technology's business alignment and relationship with the Group Partners and the consistency in which it delivers against its commitments. To date many of the relationships have been regional in nature leading to an increased coordination and management burden on the Group Partners to a greater need to understand the inner working of the IT organization. The transformed IT business will reduce this burden through the building of an effective global relationship and delivery management function.
The Successful Applicant

  • Passionate about driving business agenda
  • Demonstrable success in understanding and delivering towards customer growth in large, complex organizations
  • Commercially viable and understands particularly wealth and high net worth customer products, services and underlying processes to fulfil
  • Ability to lead and influence global teams
  • Strong understanding of operational effectiveness and strong number drive
  • Leading and directing executive and non-executive work groups and effecting change through people
  • Managing operational functions, directing process reengineering and efficiency exercises
  • Strong ability to balance risks vs. rewards and maximizing the cost effectiveness and profitability for the business
  • Strong people leadership, team work, gathering information and analysing, judgment and decision making, communication competencies
  • Demonstrated ability to assess IT trends at the market
  • Experience in developing and retaining critical talent and building an effective management team
  • Understanding of various cultures across Asia with living or working experience in the region.
