Your new role

The candidate will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, administration, and maintenance of ELN as well as other R&D laboratory information systems. This is a hands-on role supporting our ELN system as well as variety of equipment specific applications within the lab environment and working on scientific data management. The ideal candidate will apply strong proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of best industry practices towards the design, development, and deployment of ELN and other mission-critical R&D systems and applications.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) and the single point of contact to business and technology stakeholders of ELN and other laboratory systems (in both non-GxP and GxP settings).
  • Partner with the business leaders and application owners to develop and steer the solutions to meet the scientists' on-going needs.
  • Build strong links and work collaboratively with cross-function and global/regional/local IT teams to accelerate the implementations of ELN system.
  • Train and support scientific staff throughout the system deployment lifecycle.
  • Produce and deliver required documentations and reports.
  • Manage ELN and/or other R&D systems following global IT policies and best practice.
  • Be accountable for maintaining, supporting, and upgrading existing R&D systems and applications.
  • Define, enhance, and improve our Outcome-as-a-Service solution, within the operations optimization category, to deliver additional performance, flexibility, capability, and availability to our business users.
  • Manage different IT vendors to ensure that services meet business needs.
  • Provide hands on system administration and management of ELN as well as other lab software, lab server/client and R&D private cloud/SaaS applications.
  • Engage with ELN users, IT architects and system managers to understand current architecture, data flows and downstream integration points.
  • Work with ELN end users to develop custom fields and associated report methods.
  • Translate user needs into working features and functions within the ELN Modules.
  • Identify opportunities for streamlining ELN business process and performance issues Aid with in-depth analysis and interpretation of industry regulatory standards and standard practices related to laboratory analytical systems implementations.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Minimum five ( 5) years of experience operating in a business analyst role with a proven record including development of requirements and mapping \ re-engineering of business process
  • Rich experience in ELN system including configuration, administration, maintenance and integration with instruments or other R&D applications a must.
  • Strong familiarity with data preparation, processing, classification, manipulation, and forecasting.
  • Programming experience and knowledge of informatics solutions used in pharmaceutical R&D.
  • Experience working in R&D or other laboratory functions in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or CRO company.
  • Hands-on experience in handing lab, quality & manufacturing software deployment including LIMS, CDS, QMS, and other SaaS/Cloud platforms.
  • Proven experience operating in regulated environment such as GxP and 21CFR Part 11.
  • Ability to translate customer requirements into specifications and be able to conceptualize the dynamics of the solution proposed to visualize the end result.
  • Synthesize complex or diverse information, collect/research data, and use intuition and experience to complement data.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, global delivery model, and to effectively prioritize work activities
  • Project and/or program management experience highly preferred.
  • Direct experience with database (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL) techniques a plus.
