Our client is a leading multinational life science company with strong presence in China for many years. One of the BU which is Biologics CDMO is recruiting a Senior Manager of Process Development in Hangzhou city. It is newly building strategic site in China with big investment plan.

Your new role

• Report to General Manager.
• Manage a team of downstream process development scientists, process engineers and technologists with full responsibility for all aspects of human resource management such as qualification, development, coaching, hiring, pay decisions and discipline issues.
• Drive biological downstream process development, process characterization and tech transfer activities and provide technical expertise to support troubleshooting activities at both laboratory and manufacturing scale.
• Responsible for continuous improvement of process performance and product quality, create an environment that encourages robust critique of the science undertaken in the department, stay abreast of industry and regulatory trends that may impact the activities of the department.
• Actively engage and collaborate with customers to ensure timely resolution of project related risks or issues, and maintain positive customer relationships
• Mentor junior members to assist in their development, providing a transfer of knowledge and hands-on technical training.

What you'll need to succeed

• PhD or MSc in biochemistry, biochemical engineering, Pharmaceutical Technology, Process Engineering or related field
• Extensive industry experience in biological product development
• Good leadership skills, experienced in team management
• Good understanding of regulatory and quality compliance requirements for biological drug product at various developmental phases
• Excellent communication skills and able to manage multiple internal and external interfaces
